Inner City churches of Christ
have been established by Inner
City Ministries of several
cities in the southeast region of the United States (see list above).
Each church is under the oversight of a local
eldership.

Nashville Inner City Ministry ("NICM") was formed as a
bus ministry in 1978
by members of the churches of Christ
in the Nashville, Tennessee area.
Its mission was to
transport un-churched children in the inner city communities
of Nashville to and
from special Bible schools designed just for them.
Building upon its success in Nashville, NICM established
Inner
City Ministries in several other cities in the southeast region of the
United States,
which have resulted in the establishment of local Inner City
churches of Christ.
